Sundome Burning?

This morning after about 4 clients used my sundome, I started to smell burning rubber coming from the room. The client that was in there, came out not really freaked, but just said the bed smelled weird. Well, I tried all day to get a tech from ETS to call me back so I could maybe find out something, but they never called. The bed sat all afternoon and then there was no smell. Tonight, after about 6 clients and it was getting pretty hot, the burning rubber smell came back. Anybody have any ideas as to what is causing this?

Re: Sundome Burning?

Perhaps you could open it up and look for smoke...

Re: Sundome Burning?

I was going to suggest looking in the ballast compartment.

Re: Sundome Burning?

probably a wire nut melting check all connections of power to the booth, buck booster, etc. you should not use wire nuts, use split bolts.

Re: Sundome Burning?

In all seriousness though IslandGirl, you've probably got a wire(s) that is burning up - more than likely one of the wires on the main contactor or on a facial cassette (if that unit has facials).
