Question Help with hydrolics, please!!

Hi all. The weather is getting nicer, so of course there are problems on the rise..............My Sunvision's hydrolics are shot and the canopy won't stay up. Do I have to replace them, or can they be fixed? I tried a seach on this topic, but all that came up was a fight about it in 2001!!!!!! Any help and advise is greatly appreciated.

Re: Help with hydrolics, please!!

Some units allow for the bottom of the "shocks" to be moved in it's mount to adjust for weakening. If you don't see a slot or extra holes in the mount you will likely have to replace them.

Re: Help with hydrolics, please!!

Use a 2 x 4 to prop the top open. I used to have to do that on my car hood.

Re: Help with hydrolics, please!!

No fixing them, they just need to be replaced. Depends on what unit you have, make sure you check the hinges as they are know to loosen up and fall off on some models. Hinges not the shocks. Replace the shocks.
