Okay, I have a 1994 sundash bed and the problem is that the first two lamps on top are just flickering not coming on at all. I took the acrylic out and checked each lamp and socket, replaced another lamp from another spot so the lamps themselves are fine. It has this huge box under the bed with all the ballasts and stuff I was wondering if it may be a ballast or what. Please HELP!!

Re: problem with 2 lamps not firing up
The ballast lights 2 lamps. Lose 1, you've got 2 out.

Re: problem with 2 lamps not firing up
either a lampholder issue or a bad ballast. When you change the lamps, take both out and replace with 2 that you know that work. More than likely you have a ballast issue.

Re: problem with 2 lamps not firing up
Take two lamps from the other end that light and put them in those spots. If the lamps light, then the ballast is good. Take one of the lamps at a time that were originally in those spots and try them (one at a time) against a lamp that lights in that spot. Eliminate the bad lamp.
If a two lamp pair that lights in other coresponding spots DO NOT light in those two spots, then the ballast is bad.
