Question Any thoughts on ETS Premier Salons?

Been aproached several times over the years regarding the program, always avoided it. Any one on her exclusive that can explain to me the benefits. The reps have been unable to convince me.

Re: Any thoughts on ETS Premier Salons?

Well IF you sell ETS products it can turn out well for you at the end of the year, even more so if you get hefty discounts from the suppliers.

But if you, like many salons, do not sell their goo then there is no benefit. You have to really make sure you take advantage of the program to reap the benefits.

If you mainly sell their products then you should be premier. You get a lot of money back. Even if you are premier you can still sell a few other products.

You will never see that in writing. A written agreement always trumps any verbal understanding.

What are they going to do? Random inspections and then cut you off? Ask anyone from AG and they will say they want 80%+ of your bottles.

Mark it on your agreement and then your butt is covered if you are worried.

I have been doing it since the whole premier thing was invented. Never had a single issue with carrying a few select products from other manufactures. Over the years I have gotten 10's of thousands of dollars back in rebates.

Re: Any thoughts on ETS Premier Salons?

Well Heres what gets me and why I think its retarded:

I come from the high end retail industry, so to me exclusive means, are you ready for this... EXCLUSIVE!!! If I am a so called premiere salon, then why is that every other salon around me is a premiere salon?? And how could I be exclusive ETS, meaning I can only sell their product. Yet They can sell to anyone around me? ****, they even sell to my tanners on the internet? I had to stop selling Crystal, cause tanners would come in with a big smile on there face because they bought the product on-line for half of what I was selling it for. Does this make sense.

To me a premiere salon is one of a kind, and exclusive always works both ways. Am I the only one that thinks anyone who signs a premiere contract to be insane. When Energie clothing offers me an exclusive contract to sell Energie Jeans within a specific radius of my store, they dont sell it to my competitor down the street, let alone sell it wholesale to my customers.

I can still get the exact same rebate and discount (trust me), weather or not I sign a contract or not.

Any thoughts

Re: Any thoughts on ETS Premier Salons?

Better yet, any lines out there that offer a competitive or better discount without expecting me to be business retarded and sign a contract. As an entrepreneur I have always had a hard time with someone controlling what I can and cant do in my stores. In fact thats why I am an entrepreneur, so I dont have to listen to any one else.

Re: Any thoughts on ETS Premier Salons?

I'm getting out of mine since they don't have anything ever in stock. Out of the 12 products from Cal Tan 6 of them are on backorder from the manufacturer. Screw that. Not worth it.
