Re: Any thoughts on ETS Premier Salons?

Wrecked I asked because I get a stupid call every week about how I should join the program. You seem to have a good grasp on this industry after all you have 5 stores. Quick question, your a premiere salon I assume, I have a lady up the street from me with 3 beds and no customers, but she is a premiere salon. Would I be wrong in assuming your salon is comparable to hers? Not knocking you, just curious as to what your opinion is on that.

As a salon owner who clearly takes his business seriously, do you not find it odd that another salon owner can be rated in a similar class to you but without no where near the purchasing power? ETS seems so Wal-Mart like now.

I do obviously carry some of the more high end lines, I would be crazy not to, and the rebate cheque is indeed not bad, but I make more money off the manufacturers and distributors that offer me no rebate, but stronger specials, and a slightly more competitive discount.

Re: Any thoughts on ETS Premier Salons?

Wrecked I ask because I get a stupid phone call weekly telling me why i am crazy not to.

And Wrecked you seem to be a serious salon owner who takes his business seriously, after all you have 5 stores. So tell me what you think of this; I assume your a premiere salon, I have a lady up the street with three beds and no customers, however she is a premiere salon. Based on that I assume that in theory since you both have the same status that your salon is comparable to hers. I'm not knocking you, just curious what you think about a salon like that being classed at the same level as your salons without nearly the same amount of prefessionalism or purchasing power.

It seems that the ETS is so Wal Mart like now. I am looking for ways to differentiate my salon (soon to be salons) from competition.

Re: Any thoughts on ETS Premier Salons?

I believe the huge conglomerate didn't anticipate their needs correctly. Pure Karma has been on BS forever. Now Cypher, previously Ionyx and Butters. It's silly.

I'm kinda over it. I have been doing quite well with Max's products and have sold more of that in lieu of CT for the past month. Cost is better with Max, the only thing I don't care for too much is the size of the packette. It's a .7 vs. a .5. People tend to get 2 uses out of it. I guess I will just hike the price of them to compensate for that.
