Question New to the business because of crappy local salons

I moved to Canada from the Seattle area and noticed that all the tanning salons in my area have really old and low end beds in nasty or average salons. I am used to multiple tanning level, higher end salons with great UWE beds. I have decided I can be ahead of the curve in my area if I open a new salon, focus on cleanliness and offer great beds and great service.
I know location is important, but can I afford $36-$46 tripple net?
Is location going to pay for itself?

That all depends on your level of knowledge and equipment mix(cost).

It would take a decent size nest egg (cash) to get you up and going and to be able to get you throught the hard times the first few years.

I would consider why there are old, run-down salons in the area. Perhaps there simply is no market to support a salon with a great location, new beds and new decor. Consider opening a salon only after you have been active in the communitee for a few years and have performed extensive market research.
