Re: Electrical installation costs!!!

I'm in the process of opening an almost identical salon. I'm wiring 10 rooms. I have 400 amp 208 service with one panel and 8 tons of a/c. Electrician has to add a panel for lights, a/c, 110outlets, etc. cause beds are going to take up the existing panel all by themselves. My guy is working time and materials but he showed me a parts list and total materials are going to be in the $4000 dollar range not including buck booster. I've elected to install one big booster right above the panel to boost the whole place rather than individual ones for each bed and I'm not sure what that piece of equipment is going to cost me but my guy estimates about 80man hours bringing the total to $10-12k. This also included about 8 hours of demo so whomever is giving you those quotes should be put in jail! Good Luck.

Re: Electrical installation costs!!!

Does anyone in here know what size three phase transformer I will need to power a 10 bed tanning salon ( three base beds, two level 2, two level 3, 1 level 2 standup, 1 level 4 and 1 matrix L33)?

Re: Electrical installation costs!!!

I have an 8 bed salon. My electrician charged me $30,000.00. He finished in Dec. He charged me $8000 just for the high pressure room itself. It has a seperate transformer then the other seven beds. Way more then I was expecting.

Re: Electrical installation costs!!!

Sungirl, can I ask are you in Alberta? I've talked to a friend who's an electrician and he's quoted me about $22,000 which still seems very high but at least he's honest and it's much better then $60,000

Re: Electrical installation costs!!!

No, actually I'm in North Carolina. $60,000 is crazy. $30,000 was bad enough, and imo still too much, but I paid it.
