Canadian Beds

How stiff are the border/duty fees to get a bed from Canada into the states? Also, I'm assuming the voltages would need to be changed?

I'm wondering if it would be worth getting a used bed over the border? Has anyone else here done this?

Re: Canadian Beds

It's a very smart move purchasing from Canada at the moment considering the exchange. I'm not just saying this because I have a few units for sale.

It's very easy if you go through a Customs Broker. They will take care of all of the paper work in advance. You will require an FDA Accession # for the unit (which they all have - you attain this number from a distributor or a manufacturer), you will have to provide an Invoice to the broker and provide them with a credit card so that they can charge any duties that need to be paid as per you state policy.

The broker will also be in touch with the shipping company as well so that everything is in order upon the arrival of the goods at the border to avoid any delays.

I've done it many times and have never had an issue. If you're trying to bring Red Light Therapy over, that's a different story.

Re: Canadian Beds

Also, you will not require any changes to electrical components because the units will come in to the States first from Europe, then enter in to Canada.

Alaska is part of the United States, so if it goes from any Canadian Territory in to United States Territory, then the same rules would apply.

I've got a 2011 iBed Swing and a 2013 Norvell Auto Revolution 4PLUS Booth.

Ya, most get hinky when it comes to Alaska being part of the states, especially when it comes to shipping.

How much are you looking for on each?

Re: Canadian Beds

Oops, just saw where you posted in for sale.

These peeps are looking to replace Ergo 300 classic, so they need a compatible length and amperage. They can handle a little wider, just not length. Pretty much a level 2 max.

I think I'll peruse BC area since it's relatively close. So if anyone has anything lemme know!
