![]() | Re: What should we add to our salon? Since you are so small it would NOT be prudent to use that room for a spa service. You are up against capacity issues as it is. A spa service will likely not generate the revenue that a tanning unit would. I say another base bed or a spray tan unit IF spray tanning is not a hot commodity in your area. If the market is saturated with spray tanning you could always find a spot to do airbrush in a pop up tent. |

Magic, Matrix, Mastersun, pick one. I see you went with all ETS equipment. Do yourself a big favor and don't even consider the Velocity. You can thank me later.

With only five beds you want to get as many people through the door as possible per day. It is tanning time, not nappy time. If they want to nap, the Holiday Inn is down the street. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Re: What should we add to our salon? Thanks everyone for the great input ..... We seem to be getting a lot of interest in our basic 20 minute bed. We have a monthly unlimited package for $50 that gives unlimited access to the 20 minute bed. Alot of people are buying that, so the basic bed is always busy. If they want to use the other beds they have to pay an extra charge per session. Some clients are finding it agitating that they have paid for the service, but the bed is full most of the time/... Should I think about adding another 20 minute bed, or is it a better idea to include the 15 minute bed in the unlimited package? Brian, we are not selling minutes, we sell points packages and unlimited monthly packages. the points packages are by session not by minute. thanks :) Ali Cocoa Tanning Studio |

![]() | Re: What should we add to our salon? Although others will disagree, I still say another base bed. Otherwise you hit the WALL on your capacity. It is nice having a HP bed, but in this case I think it would work if you had more than 5 rooms. Again, you increase the base capacity ability which is helping you to make money out of the gate right now. An HP does cost more but selling 100 more base memberships as opposed to a few HP sessions might not be prudent until you are able to garner more space. WHY would you not expand on what you are making money on right now? It takes quite a long time to recoup the cost of the HP. I love my HP but I have salons with 30 rooms in them.... all I am saying is I think for you right now that option should wait. But in the end you make the decision that is best for you. |

My standup is a strong 9 minute machine, which I am charging the most for so i am not too sure about including that in the basic package. maybe i can add a basic standup in the spare room ..... |

Rep Power: 18 ![]() | Re: What should we add to our salon? IMO, I would get another 15 min bed, include all three together and real soon 86 the 20 minute bed for another 9-12 minute bed. U are to small to run with 20 minute beds like that. u will lose customers fast that do not want to spend the money to ugrade. |
