I sympathize with the fact that you had to deal with Sunwest because they were the authorized distributor for Canada, when in turn,if you would have dealt directly with Tan America, they would have probably tried to figure out what was causing the issue vs throwing a band aid on it. Maybe this incident will allow Tan America to re-evaluate its Canadian distributor for viability. |

I am so sorry that you got the impression we had these hooked up, and I don’t know how it would benefit me to say this. We have actually suggested that TA re-evaluate SunWest as their distributor. When TanWest were the Canadian reps, things were very different. Bert and Olga knew the product, stocked the parts, and answered their phone. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Sunwest Wholesalers Ripped us off AGAIN! You used the word "transformer" and a booster is a transformer. You also posted that you had transformers with two different voltages. What you have is a transformer that is connected to the whole panel. The malibu that you have has electronic ballasts so it doesn't need boosters and doesn't matter which panel it runs on. Let's look at the fan type. Is it a capacitor run type? It would have a capacitor wired in the circuit. The motor would have a total of four wires on it, two hots, the split phase for the cap and the ground. If so, it could be that the value of the capacitor is incorrect or the cap is bad and burning the motor out. Has this ever been addressed? Losing one relay is not critical as it could have just been a dud. As long as the new one is working fine then let's not dwell over that right now. Look into the fan and post back. As for the warranty, it is not an optional warranty, it comes with every new bed sold and is not extra to purchase it. You posted that you purchased a 5 year warranty but that was included with your purchase, everyone gets that. As stated before, I have no vested interest in Sunwest, Tan America, Heartland tan (the current owners of Tan America), Brian Bonneci, you, or anyone else involved in this scenario. I am just here to stir the pot as I am just bored and to bring eyeballs to TanTalk. I don't care if it never gets resolved, the bed catches on fire, laser beams shoot out of your eyes or anything else. However, I will help to resolve this for you if you want because that is what I do, solve problems. I have been doing it forever and I have plenty of credibility. Post your findings on the fan. Also, take a voltage reading at the fan with the bed running. Use a digital voltmeter, not a wiggy, not a neon tester, not a cheap a$$ POS junk tester but a quality voltmeter and post that value. Take a voltage reading at the bed where the main power connects to the bed. Also, note how many wires are connected to the bed from the panel. Is it two hots and a ground? Two hots, a neutral and a ground? If the neutral is present then take a reading from each hot wire to the neutral and also post those readings. |

I don’t know how you do things as a Jersey Boy, but up here we are civilized to each other. Need I remind you that you have yet to apologize for getting ugly with me? Speaking of apologies, I am sorry if I have miss-quoted the professional terms regarding the two big, hot-boxie-thingies that the bed is wired to. (One panel is 220, and the other is 240). I am not qualified to know, nor do I pretend to be a smartie-pants and shove my opinion on everyone. Speaking of opinions, I think this would be a good time to remind you that I don’t want yours. I’ll say it again: I DON’T WANT YOUR OPINION. SHUTTIE!!! Ok? This unit is being worked on by our electrician and TanAmerica/Heartland (btw—your update on where Heartland stands with the whole TanAmerica purchase was truly enlightening! Or perhaps you just wanted to sound again to everyone like you really have a grasp on MY BUSINESS). And do your homework here Mr. know-it-all: we are on our third fan delay—not two!!?? As I was saying. Mind your own bees-wax. Sheesh. It looks like you need to be told ONCE AGAIN why we posted this thread. We are letting others know how SunWest has let us down. So please take a moment to get a grip on what your role is in all of this. And back off a little. Enough already. |

You know, I was being civil and put it aside and was offering you genuine help, help that you should have taken but apparently you are too closed minded to realize that. You are just a bi polar lunatic a$$hole. Fuque you and the horse you rode in on. You can figure it out yourself now. You are not in any position to be running your mouth at anyone on here trying to help you. Instead of taking the time to post some real values to get help you decided to spend your time being a nasty b.itch. It is crystal clear why the bed is not fixed in 9 months, it is because you can't work with anybody. You are on your own. See if your own opinions get the job done. Oh, I almost forgot about the apology that you think I owe you. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Sunwest Wholesalers Ripped us off AGAIN! Thanks Tan Man. You are right, we are interested simply in warning others about the issues we have encountered with SunWest. Once again, we do not need electrical advice due to the fact that our electrician is currently working with TanAmerica themselves for a solution. Both these parties are very capable and, in fact, are experts. As much as I am sure that B.O.'s advice is reputable, I really don't see myself telling Pano how to fix his own bed--he made the thing!! Right? I'm glad that B.O. was able to help you. Its unfortunate, however, that he had to resort to such childish behaviour when communication broke down between us. Sticks and stones though, right? Cheers. |

Rep Power: 46 | Re: Sunwest Wholesalers Ripped us off AGAIN! OK u made your point u DONT want tech help. U want to warn others. So this thread is dead and im closing it! It will still be readable by all users. Thats what us people with blue names do, close thread, edit post, ban people and read the reported post IF this distributor guy decides to show up we will reopen it. GOOD LUCK!
