Re: Restriction on Canadian Salons

No problem.

Also, when i was doing EFT's way back in the day....TD Merchant services, you had to go in and process the transactions yourself every month.

Moneris, you set the date and it did it for you. You just had to log in and see how many were Declined etc...but it was automatic. Much better way of doing it.

I had both because i offered both banking options....98% had credit cards the other 2 % used personal cheques. Not worth offering that as an option. Stick to CC's only.

Re: Restriction on Canadian Salons

I use TD Merchant services and I'm extremely happy with it. I find the majority of my clients use their bank account for EFTs rather than CC but thats my salon, everyone's is different.

Re: Restriction on Canadian Salons

I'm about 50/50 for EFT's and CC's finding a great processor is easy. BY FAR the cheapest, most powerful option is ASF International, PM me if you want contact information for them, as I can get you a good deal. They are WAY cheaper than Canadian companies, send invoices to past due accounts and members can call them to process past due payments as well. They process both EFT and CC, send birthday cards, and have a wicked dashboard.

My problem is that as full featured as it is, it's still not INTEGRATED into a software. So when ASF sends an invoice, and the member pays them by CC over the phone. We end up insulting the member when they come to tan by asking them for a payment, if we have not yet corrected the note on the account. This is bad marketing.

I have plans to fix this for us Canucks though.
There is STILL Tanning in West Edmonton Mall!
