Rep Power: 16 | New Vitamin D Study FROM SMART TAN: Study: Vitamin D Lowers Diabetes Risk Thursday, January 12th, 2012 A new study of more than 2,000 people at risk for diabetes suggests that higher sunshine vitamin levels reduces the risk of contracting the disease — another study connecting vitamin D with lower risk of disease. The results were presented by Tufts University Medical Center Dr. Anastassios Pittas at an annual meeting of the American Diabetes Association in San Diego. Pittas considers the findings preliminary, but “if confirmed, there are huge implications because vitamin D is easy and inexpensive,” Pittas told WebMD. The three-year study looked at people with high blood-sugar readings. Those with higher vitamin D levels were 38 percent less likely to develop diabetes than those who were vitamin D deficient. Osteomalacia is certainly a disease that takes place in older adults. It truly is a consequence of muscular weakness and even sensitive bones. Weakening of bones takes place when the bone tissues become less compacted and a lot more breakable. On the other hand, research studies are actually indicating that vitamin D may defend us from elevated blood pressure, cancers, continual painfulness, and even major depression. Reference : TheVitaminMag.com Guys who currently have very low levels of vitamin D will suffer from a stroke. Girls who can get pregnant or possibly are already pregnant need to ensure they are really receiving an adequate amount of vitamin D. Women that use a multivitamin pill having suitable portions of vitamin D inside have a tendency to get youngsters with healthier bone fragments. Vitamin D may help enhance the effects of carrying a child. Females who receive right portions of vitamin D while being pregnant limit the chance of medical problems later in life for their little one. |
