It is now mandatory for folic acid to be added to most breads in a bid to ward off neural tube defects in babies and an Auckland University researcher wants Vitamin D added to products such as milk, fruit juice or cereals. Robert Scragg says a lack of Vitamin D increases the risk of killer diseases.
