Hello,I'm sorry but, I just had to respond to chipps absurd response to your question about facial tanners.Chipp seems to have an agenda that goes beyond giving good and proper advice to people who are honestly looking for answers to good questions.Facial tanners are most definitly not a suppliment to lack of power in a 100w lamp.Facial tanners are considered to be an upgrade item available to virtually every tanning bed and even a few booths that are on the market today!Salon owners choose beds with facial tannersto provide an increased amount of UVA to their clients. The facial area is a more difficult area of the body to tan compared to the rest of the body. Primarily due to the fact that the face generally has more constant exposure to the natural elements of the sun.It is true that beds with facial tanners have considerations to think about.facial tanners range typically from 400w to 2000w. There are some heat considerations involved with these. However, the scare tactics that chipp was trying to employ make no sense! Most bed manufacturers that utilize facial tanners also utilze safety switches!,this is a switch that automatically shuts a facial lamp off if the filter glass breaks! I suggest if you are considering purchasing a facial bed ask the manufacturer if the bed is equippted with these safety switches.Facial tanners are used virtually in every part of the united states and many other countries and have been being used for many years.I suggest any salon owner know all aspects of whatever type of beds or booths that are in ther salons,Most importantly the properusage and safety factors concerned with their equipment. You should know, that facial tanners properly used can enhance the tanning capablity of all types of lamp configurations.UVA facial lamps used in conjunction with low pressure lamps can be and has proven to be very benificial to many tanning clients for many years, just be aware of the proper maintanance and operating procedures like you would any other piece of equipment in your salon.I hope this gives you a better understanding of facial tanner usage.
