Make Sure Those Manditory Sales Meetings Make a Difference

I know many salon owners don't conduct monthly sales meetings and many that do may not be getting the most out of the meetings.

Your meetings should be interactive and actually send your staff off ready and excited to apply what they have learned.

A sales meeting should be made up of actual sales training with only 10 or 15 minutes set aside for discussing police or procedure.

Actually have your staff practice selling packages and product to each other and make it fun. Practice how to give tours in the salon or how to address issues that came up over the previous month.

Use the meeting to discuss upcoming promotions or contest for the next month and to discuss results from the previous month.

Ask for input and ideas. Reward excellence in performance from the previous month. It is also a good idea to present commission checks for the previous month. You should pay commissions once a month so that check is more substantial.

There is so much that can be achieved during these meetings and it is a great investment in time and motivation.

Meetings should be mandatory and staff should be paid for attending.

This is just a few things to think about for those all important sales meetings.
