Heck ya. If ya don't, you're missing out on some eye catching advertising for sure.
We do all of it & get those stockings up there w/gift certificates sticking out of 'em and in other places eye level.
Impulse items right up by the register. We also make up some frou frou sample, goggle & gift certificate baskets on the counter and raffle 1 off on FB like drawings and donate a couple for large Christmas party type events which always brings in new customers that redeem the gift certificates inside and have to add additional $ to the gift certificate. This ups January sales too.
It ups our social media reach, reminds peeps that gift certificates are great gifts, and especially if the gift baskets are already made up, they love it cuz all they hafta do is put em under the tree.
We make sure and have the high dollar lotions ready for the whole month, and sell a majority of those a few days before Christmas for the last minute boyfriends/husbands, lol
