New Lamps & reducing exposure time

I was wondering if anyone would share with me their procedure on how you explain you will may need to reduce exposure time due to new lamps?

We always talk to each and every customer and alert them we have new lamps and chances of burning are increased and 95% of tanners exposure times are reduced and adjusted accordingly to what we find out from how they did on their next visit. We look at many factors to determine their exposure time and MOST are grateful and understanding of the situation.

BUT...
You know those few that come in to buy a single session and haven't been in the salon for 6 months and they are a skin type 2 and have no color and argue they want to go the full time and think we are trying to cheat them??? How do you handle them? I have let some walk if they can't be sensible and most others I throw out a really low time knowing they
will argue and then meet them in the middle so they feel like they have control...i yi yi

Do you reduce the exposure time by a certain % for a certain period of time?

Thanks
