Note:

If the DMV had POSTED hours until 4 - they would either be turning people away THEN - OR, staying until 5:30-6....


SO - if you WANT your staff to be able to leave by 8 --- "close" at 7:30 (or the equivalent).

OR - if you want your staff to service any customer that "gets in line" by closing time -- make sure you post THAT as your policy - and give customers a way to let you know if it does NOT happen (e.g. post your contact number on the door if you aren't open the hours as posted....).

And let your STAFF know - they are to PLAN on working until 30 minutes AFTER closing.

Cashing out, chores, making sure the salon is ready for the next morning. Plenty to be done while you service those customers that WANT to use your business... :-)
