Re: ITA Update

Howdy...a general answer to what the ASA is doing is here:

State Lobbying

The ASA is currently working in every state that has tanning legislation, 25 as of today. Lobbyists have been engaged in every state where bills are in play or being introduced, and the ASA is very thankful to John Overstreet for his help in the smooth transition of all state responsibilities to the ASA. The ASA lobbying protocol is to utilize lobbyists recommended by the ITA unless salon advocates in respective states dictate otherwise. Updates are also available on ASA's website. http://americansuntanning.org

Federal Lobbying

The ASA's federal lobbying group is currently working with key committee members to help safeguard our industry from potentially harmful government regulations and taxes. We look forward to working with the industry’s manufacturers association, pooling our collective resources and networking ideas for federal lobbying efforts.
