Re: dr muller orbit - "pop" then funny smell according to customer ^I was actually thinking along those lines and that maybe it tripped one of the internal breakers but when i got here i followed the lines back from the bed to the buck booster and then to a junction box. opened the junction box first as i was going to unhook the booster and see if the breaker tripped, just to rule out a problem in the line. one of the wire nuts was toasted and the inside of the box had some soot on it. stripped and re secured the wires and the breaker stayed on. Bed still wasn't showing any signs of life. tested both legs at the internal breakers and was getting 120 on each but nothing between the 2. Turned out that the buck booster is fried. Swapped it out but i only had a +24v (last was +36 and our mains voltage is crap) so now it works but not all the lamps kick on. Beats having to pull apart the ballast tray i suppose |
