Re: Do you manage your online reputation?

It's important to have an online presence such as a website where people can find information such as prices, products, location, contact information and services. It's also very important to have a webpage that is simple and easy to navigate.

A Facebook page is another great way to get your name out there and stay connected with clients. Remember that Facebook gives you the ability to interact with your clients, not just about tanning and salon services, but other things going on in your community and the world. It's a form of communication that can easily be used for marketing and trust building. Offering people who like your page deals is a great way to reward people who already patronize your business.

You should always, always manage your reputation and see what people are saying about your business on google reviews, yelp and other review sites. You can thank clients who leave positive reviews and apologize publicly to clients who left negative comments. By apologizing and offering to make up for the bad experience, you're not only telling the client that you care, but also other future clients.

If there is an issue that keeps coming up in reviews, such as more than one person said the place smelled bad, or the receptionist was rude, or whatever, apologize and take a good hard look at what's going on. Share the reviews with your staff and ask them for suggestions on how to fix the problems, but don't point fingers.

There are lots of things you can do to manage your reputation and by doing so, it shows that you care!
