If you are tanning in clients homes then you will need one so you dont get overspray all over there stuff! I first purchased a $50 one and still use it but I have also added a second fan in my studio. I bought a box fan and attached an ac filter with velcro. But my filter does not have that tacky cardboard edge so it looks nice. I did try using my tent without a filter in my own home a few times to see how much mess it makes. I used a diaper wipe and started wiping the floors, tables and walls just to see. The wipe was totally brown! use a fan!
