I guess i've really fallen into that trap of intending to not run that many specials, protect integrity of price structure but then you see "everyone else" discounting like crazy & i jump in......
I still really just focus mostly on us & strive to get better & better, stay super clean etc. etc, but it's difficult to not discount in this tough economy.
We've tried the "add cash value" to GC purchases & found i sell just as much w/o that. We do put out a LARGE BANNER saying " gift certificates avalable for the holidays" right around mid November.
I think we'll continue to promote heavily on FB & show restraint as far as in store specials.
