I apologise if this slightly off topic. I understand what Brian was saying about the ballast controlling the lamp.
But, an ergoline engineer once told me that the ballast normally has a leeway of roughly 10%, as in, say you had a 200w ballast running a 225w lamp then the lamp would normally be running at 220w. Is this correct? Or would the lamp still only be getting 200w?
