Most of the pageant kids have been coached & trained and their moms are typically by their side the entire time. There was a TV reality show about pageant kids, and they showed a few getting sprayed... knowing how to move their bodies, not to swirm, etc. As far as a reaction, you can always demo/trial them first? I once judged a kid pageant -- parents really drive their kids to win & get all wrapped up in the game - they want their kids to be perfect looking. Have fun : )
