Re: Starting a mobile airbrush tanning business

Just a note to the Trunk Slammers Union® mobile spray tanners society, this is a site for professional salon owners, manufacturers, and industry personnel, buying a spray unit and putting it in the back of your car does not make you a professional.

Professionals are certified in one of the industry recognized courses and have hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in their businesses. To come on here and ask stupid questions and make statements that you would like to start your own mobile business and quite frankly ask the seasoned professionals to give you all of the answers is just down right annoying and disrespectful. What you are attempting to do is encroach on some of their business without any risk and you want it all handed to you without doing any of the work yourselves.

This is not a beginners site. We are not here to tell you how to get started. If you bring a business plan and some common sense to the table then you will most likely be taken more seriously than those that ask: "I want to start a mobile spray business, what do I need to do?"

Start by searching and reading all of the posts already here, don't just start a new one without a little basic knowledge of what you are getting into first.

Have you come up with a business name? Have you registered it? Did you incorporate? Do you have a phone number? Are you advertising it? Did you get insurance? Are you networking your services? Do you have any business experience? Have you taken a business course? Did you write a business plan? Have you researched manufacturers? Have you pulled demographics on your area? Have you determined if anyone else in your area is already doing this and how many?

Do you have what it takes to be in business for yourself?
