Which is another thing you can consider. Get a local model agency involved to have a scout there and maybe give the winner a contract to modelling as well. This way you get a lot of applicants. Otherwise, if it's just a contest to win a free tanning package and small stuff, may not have a lot of applicants.

Not true, LOL a salon around here did one and the youtube video was embarrassing! I sponsor some contests but have a few agreements up front of what's permitted. It can't be sleezy. Also bikini contests do keep your customers thinking that tanning is seasonal. I'm not against them... just not sold on the idea.
