If you have overly dry skin it can inhibit your ability to tan. Dry skin will not accept UV light as moist supple skin will. Your surface layer of skin will be thicker and harder for the UV light to penetrate and will ultimately reflect instead of absorbing. You will notice a darker tan and a longer lasting tan with healthier skin.
Are you on medications? Medications can interfere with tanning as well.
What kind of tanning lotion are you using? A quality tanning lotion will help you develop a quality tan.
If none of these could be the culprit, try another salon. It may be that the salon is not maintaining their equipment as they should. |
