Sorry, read too fast. I would stick it to them hard then. The surge was their fault, right? If a gas station has water in the tanks they are liable for vehicle repair.
You could try your
insurance company if the power company wont give in. If you have a good
insurance company they may go after the power company anyway.
You could also try to get a number of other people with damaged
equipment to come together.
