Re: FYI daughter on Oprah thurs 5-15-08

That's too bad. I understand the disappointment (and the shame - prolly shouldn'ta sent out all of those fliers ...). I'm sorry, really, I don't mean to make light of this, but, this really hits home for me, personally. It should really serve as a "life lesson" for your daughter, as did a much similar situation did for me so many years ago. I had been working my way "up" through this company, and was poised for this really significant promotion that would have changed my life, and my family's lives, forever. I told everyone! The wife, the kids, the neighbors ... I emailed Grandparents and wrote to people from highschool about it! They were all so happy for me, and proud that (and some were even extremely surprised) I had achieved such heights! But alas, they selected some loser (much like the other clips on the show) that embezeled (one or two z's?) money and embarassed them. Oh well, their loss. Just look at me now! An alcoholic bus driver with nothing to look forward to except the end of my shifts! The point is, it's not the end. There is still a very, very, very long way to go with much more disappointment and embarassment to go. That's just the way life is, and, you and she are very lucky actually to be learning this at such an early stage in life. Oops, I think I hijacked the thread. I am thoroughly disappointed and embarassed.

Sorry for your loss. -Belvy
