That "calculator" is cool, but it doesn't really add anything. It has a couple shortcomings.
1) People don't generally know the actual UV index at a given time of day from a UVI
forcast
2) The time of year makes a difference on how effective a given UVI is for vitamin D eff.
3) The frequency of exposure isn't addressed.
4) The amount of desired vitamin D conversion isn't given.
5) The amount of body area exposed isn't addressed.
6) The effect of body geometry on the actual dose received isn't addressed.

But it is a good illustrative example of how dose duration varies.

After the June ASP meeting I might make my calculator available online that takes all of the above into account.
