Re: Good idea to offer unlimited?
The way it works for me - I charge 24.00 for 60 minutes and they usually start around 8/10 minutes, definitely using a lotion (my beds are 15 minutes) and typically they are up to 15 minutes by the 3rd session, bumping them 2 or more minutes each time they tan - so, the way I see is if they buy 60 minutes at 24.00 and they tan 10 minutes the first time and then bump up to 12 and then to 15 they may get 5 tans outta that and it is almost $5.00 a tan when I charge $6.00 for a single session, or 10 for $45.00, one month unlimited for $49. They are then "hooked" and usually buy a month or 10 visits. So, am I wrong in thinking why not get an average of around $5 per tan with a 60 minute plan vs $4.50 for a 10 visit package or maybe less for the month unlimited and offer something to at least get them in the door? The only thing I see wrong with this is that when you take in the 8 minute tanner, you turn away a 15 minute tanner, but again, a walk-in can usually be squeezed in.........
