On the other hand -- if anyone is even VAGUELY in the area or VAGUELY interested -- send a PM and talk about it privately. That way no side has to air everything in public for the rest of our voyeuristic interests.

It is like taking the time and effort to hold an open house when you are trying to sell your home, and having a stream of your neighbors come through because they are curiosity seekers and want something to "chat" about (e.g. gossip). Do you "have" to put up with it - yea, maybe. But if they aren't going to buy your house, then you have to figure they are just being nosy!! :-)
