But still when so much money is at stake it is not their right just like I would not expect my quickbooks program or my antivirus to stop working without some kind of formal notice.
Even if they had just had a pop-up for a few months prior (which would be easy to do) that would have been I guess OK but a couple days is too easy to miss and an email to easy to never get

Agreed. I see your point. I personally did not agree with the way the "software audit" was handled. It was bad timing (spring) and alot of salon owners knew nothing about it. There should have been a letter sent through regular mail alerting everyone about it.
On the flip side, I know Helios has to protect their investment. Piracy is a huge problem. It is a very "fine" line. I don't plan on switching software. Hopefully, this will all get straightened out and Helios will continue putting out a great product without kill dates! LOL
