Salon contract?
I've owned my 100% mobile spray business for approx 6 months. I have a couple other projects going besides this one and the hardest part of this job, so far, is to find (and keep) responsible employees.
Today my girlfriend called and said the salon she works at called her in and asked about her tan; obviously she told her. So the owner called me and set up a meeting for next week. She wants to bring my company in to her salon and do some sort of percentage payout.
My question is this:
We charge $35.00 for a mobile spray (in their house) and the price drops for groups obviously.
Do I keep the price the same? Especially now i'm going to have to pay out for an employee as well as the salon percentage?
What percentage would a salon want or require do you think?
So far I pay employees a straight amount after taxes plus they get the tips. I would probably move the employee that would work in the salon to an hourly wage as well as tips, seeing as they wouldn't answer the phone and do alot of the promoting I have the other girls do.
This is a very busy and upscale salon that would get a great amount of traffic however i'd have to slightly renovate the room I'd be using. It woudln't take much but that's just another cost i'd have to shell out.
Any help/suggestions/comments are greatly appreciated.
