Re: electric bill

This is an interesting topic. Electrical cost is something that should be considered when structuring your new salon. There is now tanning equipment available that are powered by electronic ballast. This type of ballast will lower power consumption by 25%, they will also reduce the amount of AC required to keep your tanning rooms cool. Placing the thermostats in tanning rooms instead of hallways will also help control AC use. Salon design will also help lower electrical consumption. Another thing to think about is equipment selection. A 42 lamp 160 watt system with facials will produce the same tan as a 54 lamp system, generate as much income while lowering electric cost and lamp replacement cost. I don't think enough thought is given to these issues when building salons.
