Infrared light or radiation can cause burning of the skin and eyes. If you have ever arc welded without covering your skin (welders flash) you will get a **** of a painful burn. Infrared causes this painful response. Tanning beds give off infrared as well. So your skin can get "red" or your eyes can get retinal burns from infrared radiation. |
