Re: Uncomfortable Customers?

Your room looks great! That poster would make me a little insecure, though. Most people know when they are going to get an airbrush tan, massage, waxing, or any body service that you have to be comfortable being exposed to another person. But, hey, they might freak out once it's time to actually take off their clothes. I've been doing airbrush for about 2 years (this is my first post though!) & have encountered all sorts of clients from painfully shy to totally uninhibited. I try to be as playful as possible. Really. I weigh a little over 100 lbs so when people see me they usually make a comment like "oh, I don't want you to see my fat!" I just smile and say "we all feel that way! that's why I spray tan to feel cute & skinny! EVERYONE looks better tan!" I make a lot of silly jokes, and poke fun at the situation. I've told women clients that if they can go to gyne or get a bikini wax, they can do this!!! Most people laugh & bond with me right away. By the end of the session we're usually chatting away like BFFS. Gotta feel each person out & keep it professional, but humor always works for me.
