Here's the thing- she's likely expecting leniency because she's family. So even making guidelines, going over what you expect from employees, etc, may not work if she sees herself as a family member instead of a 'real' employee. She may not think the rules apply to her, basically. So I don't think it's enough for you to let her know what you expect from your employees, you have to add on that while she is on the clock working at the salon or representing the salon in any manner, she is an employee first, family second.
