You are right! I think it has to do with the person in charge. Early on my dad would say there's going to be ONE chief. He's still the chief 48.5 years later. He also sets the best example of how to work.....nobody works harder then him. He does every job just as anybody else would. So maybe if you want to have family work you need to be the first example of how things are done by doing it yourself always. The rules are the same for everybody you can't show favoritism in a family run business. You set your guidelines then you stick with them.

The hardest part of a family run business is getting time off together aways from work! All the rest is simple if you know how to do it.
