I know master inventory is not intended to do book, and I never would use it as such. But I just did a master report of inventory. I had it sub-total. With Swedish Beauty products I have just two bottles of Skin Embrace in stock.
The retail total is right, $85.00.
However the total cost of SB products is not. Its correct if you bases it on the "cost" ended into the inventory end of the sales code, its right. However I get all products less than the set price and enter that correct total when receiving. Essentially its reporting a total cost of goods $2.xx too high.
So the red flag went up.
Does helios report correct cost doing "Department and Division" reports? Nope, thats wrong too. I checked a REALLY slow day and added up what Helios thought he cost of products were for the 27th of Jan. Then I checked the receiving reports and of course the true cost was a lot less.
Since changing the cost in the sales code EVERY time I receive something is NOT a solution
, where I can I get and accurate report of the cost of goods sold, profit on goods and total retail on good for January?
