Envytan (where I purchased my machine) put this out about the Apollo TC3:

"Whisper Quiet (62db at 3’), less than the human voice during normal conversation. Spray clients in total comfort with the quietest system available.
Lightweight durable design, though ruggedly constructed. Sized and tested to provide full ventilation and air circulation. This guarantees cool, comfortable operation, performance reliability and equipment longevity."

BUT THEN I NOTICE THIS AS I KEEP READING:

"Trust us; they all make noise, no matter what you read elsewhere. It is after all, a compressor. However, this one is definitely manageable. Sounds like a house vacuum."

SOUNDS LIKE A HOUSE VACUUM??! HOW IS THAT SOFTER THAN A HUMAN VOICE? I didn't notice the house vacuum when I bought it. Oh well. Still waiting to receive it, I'll let everyone know what I think.
