I myself would never let it come down to that.Maybe its because I spent too many years doing FMEA and implementing company policies when I use to work for somebody.
When I first took over this business,I noticed there were things that I didn't like about existing employees.Since I had to technically rehire them under the new company,I created an employee handbook along with a consent form.
It listed all the do's and don't.What you can wear and what you can't.You can implement any rules and regulations you feel will be necessary to benefit your business,all you need to do is present it to your employees and have them sign off acknowledging they understand the terms.
Obviously you can't put the S**T back into the donkey,but for future reference,don't wait untill its too late.
It really does not take that long,but that paper trail will save your azz in the long run.
