Lets say just 1000 of those come in all year, am i suppose to know 1000 names. Your checking in just like any other business whats you last name? Between me and the girls we do know most of the names and often ask each other before the client comes in whos this. The clients whos names we know appreciate the fact that we do. We do the best we can.

I had a guy that lived across the street from me for more than a year and called me by my name for that period of time. Outside of wrok i cant remember names. I told him one day, man i am sorry i am bad with names and i feel bad but i dont know your name. We talked more after that and seemed to be even more comfortable with each other.

Its not that you have to ask but how you ask.
