You said that you moved the lamp and it still went out. Did the problem move with the lamp or stay with the lamp position?

If the problem moved then the lamp is bad. You can order one or several to have as spares.

If the problem stayed in that position even though you moved the lamp then it sounds as if the lampholder went bad and either the wire needs to be pushed back into the back of the lampholder or the lampholder burned up and needs to be replaced.
