Has nothing to do with the LED technology. It's the band of light that they put out. I think the LED was just the gimmic at the time cause it was just for the face at first and LEDs seem to cover a huge area but are huge money.

Translation, they made a really expensive version of something that can be done rather cheaply now that they are available in tube form.

The whole thing is just gimmic IMO. It's another product that was supposed to be the "anti" tan as this helps reverse the "harmful" effects of tanning.

Trash can products.
