Re: bulbs light NO fans very hot!

The fan and capacitor tested good and can't find any bad wires. The canopy fan is running but not at full speed and the bench fan wasn't running at all. The F3 fuse on the main board was slightly discolored so I replaced that and then got bench fan to run but not at full speed.

Assuming the canopy and bench fans work independently the only common link was main board right? I was told to test the main board you have someone flip the breaker while you watch the board if the red light blinks 5 times it's good board. (true?) I tested and got 5 blinks but wasn't convienced so I swaped out main board with identicle bed and got both fans running but...got a spark and "pop" from the canopy hall effects board (now C+ wire fried) and the F2 & F3 fuses fried on main board. I replaced those fuses and put that main board back into it's original working bed (don't need two beds down) and it runs fine (thank god) so it seems the problem is the main board or hall effects board...didn't want to risk swaping that out, if I fried another hall effects borad I'd have two beds down.
