The fact that there have been no comments regarding the post above confirms my "growing suspicion" that we (the indoor tanning industry) have gotten the cart ahead of the horse, i.e., we have (collectively) decided that vitamin D is our "salvation" and have forgotten/overlooked/don't know that the "controlled" development of photo-protective facultative pigmentation (better known as a "tan") is our "true strength" as an industry and what we should be focusing our promotional efforts on.
The development of photo-protective facultative pigmentation in the controlled and consistent environment of an indoor tanning salon is the primary benefit (IMHO) we are selling and "feeling good" and "looking good" and vitamin D stimulation are important secondary benefits.
