I agree with everything you said. This unit is running as a 10 minute session in my salon using the regular swifts, and customer satisfaction is very high. The problem is when this "marketing" thing becomes a problem in regulated states. Like I said, there is a lamp that would make it a 7 minute unit, but that would exceed the 10% rule these states have. So is this a good unit if you are restricted as to what lamps you can use?

I am not regulated yet. If I was I don't think this units would be in my salons.

I got the units from Mori and this was back in 1998, before Heraus was Kirk's lamp of choice. Back then they did come with cosmolux VHR. I believe they switched to heraus in 2000 (could be off a bit).

Anyhow. The 7 min. session comes from the lamps being spaced close together, and the dome of the bed - distance to the body - being much less than your average bed.
