Re: ERGOLINE OPEN SUN 1050

If the 1050 puts out 4 meds to the face in 8 minutes, then it is not a true HP bed. It may use all HP lamps but those numbers are vhr numbers. If you have ever tanned in a S-class, you know what I mean. The facials in the S-class after a couple of minutes make your face feel like it is melting off and a few minutes later you wish it had.

The advantage of a HP bed is high uva and low uvb. You can go the full time or close to the full time right from the start. You don't have to tan as often to maintain your tan because the skin does not exfoliate as often. This only an advantage if it is a lower uvb bed, around 2% or lower. That is why I don't like the combo beds with HP on top and vhr on the bottom. Don't get me wrong, most tan well but you have lost the advantage of the HP side. You have to treat them as a vhr bed.

If you want a bed that puts out vhr numbers, why pay 10k-20k more for a HP bed that tans the same as a S-class or a Sungate. That is why I would have no interest in a Hp bed if it was that high in uvb. I would be looking at beds like the Magic 636 and the Mastersun. Beds that have a lot of tanning ability but are not high in uvb.
